Forgot PIN (password)

If you've forgotten your voice mail PIN (password) (home phone, wireless, or business), you can only reset your PIN (password) in mySASKTEL or by calling SaskTel.

  • You must be the account holder to change a voice mail PIN (password) in mySASKTEL (app or browser)
  • If you're not the account holder, get the account holder tocall SaskTel


Known PIN (password)

If you know your voice mail PIN (password), you can change your PIN (password) using any method listed below.

If your app doesn't match the steps below, update your mySASKTEL mobile app to the latest version.

Account holder only:

  1. Open the mySASKTEL mobile app.
  2. Tap ServicesChanging or resetting your voice mail password (PIN) | Support (1).
  3. Tap Log in to see all services and log in to mySASKTEL.
  4. At the top, swipe to your Wireless or Phone account with the voice mail you want to update.
  5. Tap the Wireless Device or Home Phone number you're changing the voice mail PIN (password)for.
  6. Swipe the top menu to see the PIN page.
    • You won't see PIN if you haven't logged in to mySASKTEL or if the wireless device you chose doesn't have voice mail
  7. Tap Voicemail PIN.
  8. Enter your new PIN (password) twice.
    • 4 to 15 numbers
  9. Tap Save.

Account holder only:

  1. Log in to mySASKTEL (opens in a new tab).
  2. Click the wireless or home phone plan (phone number) with the voice mail PIN (password) you want to change.
  3. Scroll down and click Manage Voice Mail.

  4. Under Edit PIN, click Change Voice Mail PIN.

  5. Enter the new PIN (password) twice.
    • 4 to 15 numbers
  6. Click Save PIN.

Account holder only:

  1. Log in to mySASKTEL (opens in a new tab).
  2. Click View next to the account you want to manage.

  3. Under Manage Services, click the service with the voice mail account you want to manage (Phone or Wireless).
  4. Scroll down to Password Management or click Passwords and choose the phone number you're changing the voice mail PIN (password) for. (What you see at this point depends on the service you're managing.)
  5. Enter the new PIN (password) twice.
    • 4 to 15 numbers
  6. Click Submit.

Have your personal ID (driver's license or SIN) ready to confirm your identity when calling SaskTel.

For personal voice mail (wireless or home phone), call 1.800.SASKTEL (1.800.727.5835) for technical support (hours, menu options).

Listen carefully to the options and choose:

  • The service you need help with (home or wireless)
  • Technical support
  • To reset your voice mail PIN

For business voice mail, call 1.844.SASKTEL (1.844.727.5835) for SaskTel Business Sales.

Old platform (your active mailbox until July 12)

After 5 failed attempts to log in to the SaskTel Voice Mail Centre, your account will be locked. It will automatically unlock after 15 minutes. You can still reset your PIN (password) during this time but you won't be able to log in to your voice mail until after your account is unlocked.

  1. Log in to SaskTel Voice Mail Centre(opens in a new tab)

  2. Click My Account (top right) > Security.
  3. Enter your current PIN (password).
  4. Enter your new PIN (password) twice.
    • 4 to 15 numbers
  5. Click Update.

New platform (available to access on June 13; your active mailbox starting July 13)

After 3 failed attempts to log in to the SaskTel Voice Mail Centre, your account will be locked. To have the account unlocked, you must call 1.800.SASKTEL (1.800.727.5835) for technical support (hours, menu options).

To update your password:

  1. Log in to SaskTel Voice Mail Centre (opens in a new tab).
    • See Checking your voice mail online for more information
  2. Click Security.

  3. Under Password Update, enter your new PIN (password) twice.
    • 4 to 15 numbers
  4. Enter your current PIN (password).
  5. Click Update Password.


To enter or update PIN (password) recovery information:

  1. Log in to SaskTel Voice Mail Centre (opens in a new tab).
    • See Checking your voice mail online for more information
  2. Click Security.
  3. Under Password Recovery Setup, enter your email address.
    • If you already have an email address in My Account, it will appear inthis field but you can enter a different recovery email address if you want
  4. Choose a question from the dropdown.
  5. Enter your answer to the question.
  6. Enter your current PIN (password).
  7. Click Update Recovery Info.

After 9 failed attempts to log in to voice mail on a phone (3 attempts per call for 3 calls), your voice mail account will be locked. To have the account unlocked, you must call 1.800.SASKTEL (1.800.727.5835) for technical support (hours, menu options).

  1. Dial *99 from your phone or dial the local access number from another phone.
    Or
    You can dial your phone number, wait for your voice mail to pick up, then press 7 during the greeting.

    New platform

    From June 13 to July 12: Dial *80 from your phone.
    Starting July 13:

    • Dial *99 from your phone, or
    • From another phone, dial the local access number and enter your 10-digit phone number
  2. Enter your current PIN (password) followed by the # sign.
  3. Press 4 to administer your account.
  4. Press 2 for mailbox preferences.
  5. Press 1 to change your PIN (password).
  6. Follow the prompts.
    • For your new PIN (password), enter a number with 4 to 15 digits followed by the # sign
