Sister Mary died Sunday (May 5, 1979) in the Our Lady of Mercy Infirmary, Orchard Park. Sister Mary headed the Mount Mercy Reading Center at Trocaire College from 1972 to 1978. She was working as reading specialist at St. Thomas Aquinas School in South Buffalo when stricken with her final illness. Earlier, she was principal and superior at St.

Mary's parish, Holley, from 1958 to 1964. She also taught at St. Mary's of the Angels School, Olean; St. Bonaventure School, West SeneSt. John the Evangelist; Chid Holy Family.

A native of Wellsville, the former Mary Duggan entered the Sisters of Mercy Oct. 3, 1943, and professed her final vows Aug. 30, 1946. Before entering convent, she taught for years in Wellsville elementary schools. She received a bachelor's degree in social studies from Canisius College and a master's degree as a teaching specialist from Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee.

Albert W. Sterritt LOCKPORT A memorial service for Albert W. Sterritt, 72, of 5547 Lockwood Heights, Olcott, founder and former general manager of Western New York Container is planned at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in Grace Episcopal Church. He died Sunday (May 6, 1979) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

A former alderman in his native North Tonawanda, Mr. Sterritt founded the Lockport firm in 1949. The company later became known as the Packaging Company of North America. He retired in 1976 after 10 years as a sales representative for Tuscarora Plastics of New Brighton, Pa. He had served on several advisory boards here, including those of Marine Midland Bank and Lockport Memorial Hospital.

He also formerly served as president of the Lockport Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lockport Town Country Club, and the Tuscarora Club and had been chairman of both Eastern Niagara Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Eastern Niagara United Appeal. In North Tonawanda, Mr. Sterritt had been a member of the Kiwanis Club. Surviving besides his wife Pearl are two sons, H. William, of Mobile, and Robert of Beaver Falls, two daughters, Mrs.

Milton Ager Dies; Composer Wrote Democrats' Song LOS ANGELES (UPI) Composer Milton Ager, who teamed with lyricist Jack Yellen of Buffalo "Happy Days Are Here Again," which became the official campaign song for Franklin D.

Roosevelt and the Party, died Sunday illness. He Democratic, was 85. Mr. Yellen and Mr. Ager had a long collaboration that spanned the 1920s and 1930s, including songs and musical review production.

Their "Happy Days Are Here Again" was first played in 1929 immediately after the stock market crash and has been a feature of every Democratic comvention since 1932. They collaborated on such popular songs as "Hard Hearted Hannah" and "Down by the 0-hi-o" as well as the musicals Cares" and "Rain or Shine." One of their most popular songs was "Ain't She Sweet," in honor of Mr. Ager's first-born daughter, television journalist Shana Alexander. Former Actress Dies GLENDALE, Calif.
